This past Monday we found out that we are having a little girl! I was kind of in shock when we found out the news, I had a gut feeling it was a girl but I had done a pretty good job of convincing myself that it was a boy. I mean, I know how boys grow up…I am one. Now, how a girl grows up is a whole different story. However I figure that I love shopping and chick flix so I should be alright!

Now that we know it is a girl, we are going into overdrive with the name the baby contest. Go HERE and submit your 3 best girl names. Even if you already thrown out some names we are giving you a second chance!

Little girl…Everything is normal and our baby girl is growing on pace. I can’t wait until September when we finally get to meet her. Check out this pic, no that is not a hole in her head…the doc assured us of that…however if you look at it right it looks like there is a halo around her head. She also seems to be a fan of peekaboo…looking forward to many games of that with her! Thanks for all your prayers, keep them up!

No this is not a post on the ongoing saga that is Obama vs Clinton. Yes it is a post on the ever so entertaining process of becoming a parent. The countdown to Monday (the day we find out if our kid is a he or a she) has now been tampered with..well the countdown and my sanity have been tampered with so here is where I need some help.

Option 1 - We go about as normal and wait until Monday…get the ultrasound done in the Dr’s office and experience what so many other peeps have experienced. The midwife telling you that you are having a _____.

Option 2 - Enter last weekends conversation with Colonie Kidzway-Toddler/Babies Director, Jenilee. Jenilee’s “real” job has something to do with being a ultrasound technician or such. She informed me that she always has an ultrasound machine her trunk. First of all that is funny to me that she has the ability to hook us up out of the trunk of her car…but this knowledge now puts us in an interesting position. Jenilee could tell us this Sunday whether we are having a boy or a girl.

So do we wait until Monday and “get the experience” in the Dr’s office or do we get it done Sunday out of the trunk of a car in the NC-Colonie parking lot and act surprised on Monday?
